meetup planning

Summer meetups have been pretty cool. The psychogeography tour has been fun and we've scoped out lots of new places. But we've been drifting for a while now, and some people have expressed the desire for a regular location again.

There was also a general consensus the other day that we like outdoor meetups while the weather holds.

What do you think? Do you want to keep drifting or settle down? If we keep drifting, where would you like to go? If we settle down, where would you like the new secret headquarters to be?

Actual decision-making will probably occur in meatspace, but this is a good place to hash it out. Speak up!

I had a good time at the park last week, but I'm not sure we can rely on the angry portland weather gods to keep it steady, even during the summer. [It somehow got much cooler recently.] Maybe meat-up at park and let it be known online that there is a backup plan which is close by.

One thing that I'm really adamant about is to stop meeting up in bars, or at least come up with an actual idea about what time it is cool to split the cafe and move things over. I'd say 9:30 or 10.

People who feel dissed because they don't feel like enduring a schism because half the people went to go drink should get over feeling dissed and bask in their superior liver health.

Its all about perspective, word son.

I don't like starting at a bar that late- it kicks my ass for work the next day. But we can probably work out some sort of compromise.

Okay, how about drinking

Okay, how about drinking *before* the meat-ups? :D

OK, twist my arm. Oh, wait.

Oh, wait. That didn't go so well last time.
