...my dear friend [ removed per request ] was arrested in Olympia as part of the continuing Homeland Security witch hunt known collectively as "The Green Scare".

The good news is, they appear to be handling this in standard criminal court rather than whisking him off to some secret indefinite detention as they have with so many other innocent people. So that means he can have a lawyer, and we know where he is, and we can hold a benefit performance for his legal fees. It's not much, but it's something. Handled correctly, it may hopefully raise awareness locally that all of this is even happening.

Our dear friend Ogo has organized this first fundraiser show, to take place this coming Monday the 11th at Plan B. Try My Cabbage, DJ Fukumup, and Killingsworth will be covering the dance party end of things; and I've been asked to organize a Ritual Performance. -- Noah Mickens
